Hello, everyone! How is your new year going so far? 

I have been feeling very creative lately. I'm currently working on a landscape that I will be using for my next posts. I really miss using my photos to tell stories, therefore I have been focusing on writing a new story for my avatar, and landscaping and decorating really helps me bring those stories alive.

Today my post is about the Irish Pub Building - Winter Edition created by DRD. This is one of my favorite buildings ever created in Second Life. The attention to detail is amazing, the textures are beautiful, and I love both the interior and the exterior. I am planning to take more pictures of the interior as well! Hey, guys!

Let's talk about landscaping for a minute. The first time that I rented a parcel and tried to landscape it on my own was past January, less than a year ago. To be honest, I did not intend to landscape that parcel myself. What happened is that someone encouraged me to rent a parcel, telling me they would help me by dropping their furniture and landscaping items. But, in the end, they ghosted me, haha! Which is fine, I think everyone had their share of meeting weirdos inworld, right?

Anyways, back to the landscaping talk. Since I had already rented a parcel, I thought that maybe I should give it a try. I didn't realize back then that you need a huge amount of different rocks, cliffs, grasses, buildings, trees, textures etc to bring a parcel to life. It took me around eight months to collect enough items to be able to landscape a small parcel and make it look decent. My first successful attempt was "Villa Medici at Mare", a tuscany inspired villa.

My autumn project was a farm inspired by my favorite cartoon called "Over the Garden Wall". This farm would have a pumpkin patch, cattle shed and a Tudor manor. Unfortunately I had to give up on this project, since the sponsor of the parcel had RL issues and couldn't keep sponsoring this project anymore.

Like I said before, fall is my favorite season, I decided to still try to come up with a project that would be much easier and faster than a farm, a little urban scene that is perfect to go Trick-or-Treat. The size of this urban scene is around 64x70, which is very small, and took me around two weeks and a half to complete this project. I'm slow when it comes to landscaping, specially because very often I have to buy new items and I'm never sure which set is the best one, so I end up doing a lot of research which slows me down even more.

I must confess, I'm enjoying landscaping more than blogging lately!
