The princess of the faeries was kidnapped by Jareth, the evil goblin king. He was planning to use her as a way to lure Sarah back to the Labyrinth, since he knew Sarah had a benevolent spirit and was fond of all the magical creatures that inhabited the Labyrinth. The other faeries united to save their princess.
